Popiah

Popiah that I love the most. Definitely going to miss it when I'm not in UPM anymore. I think most UPM students especially Chinese would know about this. The famous name is the seaweed popiah where the popiah is wrapped with a piece of seaweed. I think the seaweed popiah is priced at RM2.40.

You can find this popiah at the Serdang Pasar Malam every Monday. There are complaints and news that the pasar malam would move to another place. However, the issue of movement is still on discussing and negotiating.
This is the one without seaweed. RM 1.90 per roll. The popiah consists of simple ingredients like shredded carrot, cucumber, corn, lettuce, mayonnaise and fried crunchy thingy. Nevertheless, I love it so much and it seems like I could not find this elsewhere especially in Kuching.

Another popiah that once I loved was Sister Crispy Popiah. But after the second attempt of buying, it is no longer on my favourite list.

2 rolls somewhere RM6. I forgot the exact price.

I love the crispiness of the popiah but this Sister Crispy Popiah in Midvalley was not crispy at all. Different from the first time I bought.

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, The Mines

Always wanted to try the egg crepe of Shihlin and it happened that Shihlin open a new outlet at The Mines. Then I decided to takeaway it as my dinner since I was still full with the Sakae lunch.
I waited for quite a long time to get my crepe done. Luckily managed to get in the bus on time.

Crispy Floss Egg Crepe RM6.00
It turned out to be a bit messy since I rushed over the UPM bus back to room.

The crepe is pan fried and wrapped with chicken floss. It is eaten with sauce and topped with coriander leaves. This snack disappointed me as I think it should be crispier and aromatic. It turned out to be a normal crepe wrapped with chicken floss.

Domino's Pizza

I first tried Domino's Pizza in my first year in UPM. That time we had delivery it to our hostel as a celebration for a friend's birthday.

After 3 years, finally went for another Domino's Pizza since I heard so much good feedback on it yet I didn't not find it unusual at all for my first Domino's pizza session. My friend had a coupon and I could not remember the exact offers. Total bill was around RM35 (2 pizzas and 1 breadstick)

The Taming Jaya outlet is located at a shop lot on the way to Balakong. The outlet is rather small and there is just few and limited seating as it focuses more on delivery rather than dining.

My friend ordered the breadstick because she said it was so good and very different from Pizza Hut's breadstix. Indeed it was different because the breadstick at Domino's was so soft and fluffy. The texture was similar to a bread. Pizza Hut's breadstick was rather hard and dry. The breadstick was good upon serving hot.

 Classic hand tossed--seafood delight
stingy portion of crabmeat, tuna chunks, onions and green peppers

Crunchy thin crust--Classic chicken.
shredded chicken, onions, peppers and olives
The crust was thin but they did not sliced the pizza perfectly. End up we tear the pizza by our own and get messy. All the topping ingredients was separated with the crust.

There was no government tax and service tax since the outlet focuses on delivery and we helped our own with the foods. We took our orders ourselves at the counter. All the foods was stored in boxes which required no cleaning at all. Everything was only given upon request as they did not charge the service charge at all.

Still did not found Domino's Pizza special though.
