KCH Clean Food

A very random decision to dine in KCH Clean Food@Rubber Road on Saturday night. I was late and both my dinner kakis were waiting for me. They sent me the menu while waiting for me to arrive.

Menu Part 1

Menu Part 2

Australian Premium Tenderloin Steak RM34.90
Lean cut of boneless beef tenderloin, served with green salad, steamed vegetables with mashed potatoes. The entrees comes with a creamy mushroom sauce at side~

Although the tenderloin portion was slightly small, we had a full tummy sharing 2 mains (I was late thus no picture of the other main) and 1 appetizer (salad) for three pax!

Chicken Salad RM16.90
Grilled Chicken Breast with organic salad, olive oil fat free mayonnaise

chicken breasts in a bed of greens, tomatoes, onions with light sourish dressings

Help yourself with free flow of  chilled lemon water at the counter!

Homemade Loaf with Petrus PE6280

Sis bought Petrus PE6280 Multi-functional fruits and nuts dispenser programmable bread maker around RM200 couple of months ago online! After that, I developed strong interest of making our own loaf!

The bread maker comes with a fruits/nuts dispenser, a measuring spoon, a measuring cup & a bread bin

1. Just measure all bread ingredients according to the bread maker user manual, select bread size (500gm/750gm), degree of  burning color (light, medium, dark) and type of bread to make (such as European/British/French Bread etc).
2. Eggs, butter, sugar, salt, milk, water, high protein flour, yeast, milk powder and those basic bread making ingredients.
3. Play around the flavor with anything you love and have in the pantry/kitchen.
4. However, you will need to wait for 3-4 hours for the bread to be done, and another 30 minutes to 1 hour for the bread to cool down, making a total of 4 to 5 hours before you can actually eat it! Patience, passion and waiting time is required~~

Pumpkin Black Sesame Loaf
One of my nieces favourite~

I even made pandan essence from scratch. Blend lots of freshly plucked pandan leaves with milk and strained the pandan juice out! Lots of job though...

Turned out to be someone purposely and nastily tear off the pandan bread without my acknowledgement LOL (our evil queen of the house aka my 4 years old niece due to she couldn't resist to have a bit of it)
Pandan Pumpkin Seed Black Sesame Loaf (spot the imperfect torn loaf?)

Should have put more pumpkin seeds cause it was so yummy and crunchy! The pandan fragrant was pretty strong but hardly can taste it once you munch it!

Almond Milo Oats Loaf
 My two nieces loves this!

White Loaf

Purple Sweet Potato Black Sesame Loaf

Green Tea Black Sesame Loaf

I also bought bread slicer and bread knife to make bread slicing easier and conveniently!

Placed the bread into the slicer and cut the knife along the grooves. The disadvantage of the slicer is it doesn't have other thicknesses whereby you can't customized your thickness of the bread you cut! If you adjust it manually, the slice will not be equal and nice.

Green tea black sesame after cut...So tempting~~

Any more ideas for the loaf huh? Perhaps sweet corn, cheese and ....?

Barnana Wine & Dine & Secret Recipe Cake

Barnana Wine & Dine is easily spotted along the Padungan Road.

Comfortable dining environment with dim lighting, music and plenty of picture as decorations

A pot of Apple Tea (RM6.90) to share

Barnana Signature Bacon Rolls 8 pcs at RM14
Enoki/Needle Mushroom wrapped in Bacon Slices
the Enoki mushroom was super chewy but definitely not worth the price!

Lamb Bolognese RM19.90
the spaghetti portion was generous! Full of spices, tomato sauce and ground lamb. Great for sharing as it will be too swelling for stomach for one to eat alone.

Grilled Chicken Chop RM20.50
two pieces of grilled  and succulent chicken thigh, topped with black pepper sauce and served with french fries and coleslaw (A very common of chicken chop!)

My dinner partner of that night

Total damage of the dinner inclusive of 5% service charge

After the dinner, we had cakes for dessert!

Secret Recipe Green Tea Cheese RM8.80/slice
first time having SR Green Tea Cheese! Always love the perfect pairing of green tea and cheese! The crushed biscuits base did a great job too!

Secret Recipe Chocolate Indulgence RM8.80/slice
nothing would go wrong with Chocolate Indulgence! Chocolate sponge cake with layers of chocolate and white chocolate cream filling.

another close up angle for the cake

Overall dining experience at Barnana was rather satisfactory and pleasant one. Staffs were attentive enough considerably 5% service charge was applicable. Food acceptance were ordinary and nothing much to shout about.
