Pure Fish Ball Cafe @ Jalan Padungan offered affordable dinner set for 2 persons =)
Free 1 bottle of drink with the dinner set
Limited drink selection available such as Sarsi, Orange etc
The glass bottle was tall and definitely way too much for 2 pax
Dinner Set RM22
Stir Fried Cangkuk Manis with egg, Butter Chicken, Normal Fish Ball Soup & two bowl of plain rice.
Both the cangkuk manis and butter chicken was good and delicious. I tried their fish ball soup twice and the fish ball soup tasted awkwardly bitter for both times! Avoid the fish ball soup and order tom yam soup instead if you do not want to get disappointed with it! Hope they will continue with this great dinner deal and offered much more food selection to boost more sales!
Tried out Kong Tung Cafe 广东茶室 @ Ang Cheng Ho
Cantonese Kueh Tiao RM8
served with fried prawn skewers, chicken pieces and probably their signature stuffed chicken wing with special ingredients
the fried kueh tiao seemed did not pairred well with the gravy =(
Mixed Vegetables Rice RM8
served with fried prawn skewers, meat with sweet braised sauce and stuffed chicken wing
Waited for 30 minutes for my meal to be served. The foods was okay, just it was a bit oily and greasy as almost all dishes in one plate were deep fried/stir fried. The hygiene was rather poor. You will notice when you leave your table upon finishing, the birds will fly in, stopped by the table and savour the leftover before the staffs cleared up the dish.
One sunny day, we went to 4th mile area thus dropping by Jelly Beancurd as I craved for some sweet stuffs!
Taro Beancurd RM6.20
beancurd immersed in syrup and topped with sweet & dense taro...it was canned taro, probably imported from Taiwan. I opted for no ice. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this refreshing dessert~
