My 2012 Updated

I did a brief summary of my 2012.

#1  I have a job!
Officially, I enter another phase of a typical life. No more part time and free lance jobs. (But I'm still under probation, which means I can be jobless anytime!). Working 5.5 days in a week is somehow exhausting, especially I'm required to punch in the card earlier before my actual working time and nothing such as "Oh, it's 5pm, OFF! " I get to know some Indon and Bangla foreigners, learn some local dialects (Sigik = satu, dua igit = dua, nyaman = sedap), deal with some factory issues to ensure smooth operation. I learn to get used to eat alone sometimes when my only lunch partner went off with her bf. No high heels, fancy working attire and make-up (I think I can throw away the blouse, dress, skirts and cosmetics soon) Even I'm not allow to put on my earrings and watch. (hopefully I can still put on my necklace~) Everyday my shirt was loaded with ROJAK food smells-garlic, onion, belacan, chilli, curry, complex isn't it?

#2  I graduated!
I left UPM, a place where I spent around four years. The memories, the friendship, the fate. I know it's almost impossible to stay well connected with those people I known through UPM. At least I can shout off "I'd gone through my university life!"

#3 I flew to Thailand alone!
Graduation trip with coursemates, without those familiar one. I actually flew all alone to Thailand, sat on an unknown cab just because a Thai guy took a tag with my full name when I arrived the airport! I enjoyed the trip well although it was a trip without my besties, whom blow off the trip last minute.

#4 I lost a car!
I drove my mum/bro's car out and the next thing happen was ----the car just vanished like that. I was scared to "death" at that time. It creates a lot of complicated issues and inconvenience to people around me. Until now, the car was not found and I think it is quite impossible to get off the incident off my mind.

#5 I won a trip to China but I blew off everything!
I had never been so lucky in my life that I won myself a 2 weeks youth exchange programme to China. I submitted a English essay promoting and introducing myself together with the application forms. Five star accomodations, foods and flight expenses were included. However, due to my delay response and arrogant officer, the officer canceled my name and that my FOC trip to Hong Kong, Shanghai and many more destinations was called off =( I am really NEVER been so lucky before and obviously I'm not fortunate enough to enjoy the golden privileges.

#6 I'm in relationship!
He's not an amazing one nor a standard guy in terms of everything - work, money, family, look, attitude etc but I'm giving both of us a chance. Sometimes it feels good to be able to get pampered by someone once a while.

#7 Roxstan left us at 20.12.2012!
Roxstan fell sick. He had been with us around six years. We all knew he had suffered and struggled a lot. Thanks for being with us throughout the years.

#8 I participated a night run!
I went for a 5km night run and I did some trainings before it. My first run!

Lastly, my family portrait! Three years ago and now! Two more members joined in my family, and one more next year =).

Happy and blessed 2013! Think of your 2013 resolutions and achieve them! Seriously =)

Mid of November

打工仔的日子几乎都一样的。。。

# Have been working for 1.5 months~ Time flies...everyday was pretty similar for me, awaiting weekends and anticipating for public holidays, where I do not need to wake up at 6am in the morning and drove for 45 minutes to my workplace~

# Had been given a good escapade opportunity but it's just vanished out of my sight due to my unintelligent response...will share it in my final post for 2012...

Convo-KL Trip Part 3

Kinda forgot the sequences and details of the photo after a month...so just sharing some of the items I took~

Upon reaching Jalan Alor, we put our luggage in the hotel and went across the street to eat.

I had Claypot mee and cincau red bean as lunch.

Bought Gui Ling Gao for supper and dessert along the Jalan Alor at  RM3

Spotted a new outlet 菠萝仔 selling Polo Bun at Sungei Wang

the bun not as nice as I thought..the buttery taste wasn't strong enough

Breakfast time~
fish porridge

wantan mee

Visited Ming Kee (famous for the char siew) at Jalan Alor for brunch...the coffee shop is just situated beside Hotel Nova...

Mum and grandma always crave for coffee every morning whenever they go

The chicken rice wasn't nice at all...They should use fragrance rice to make it taste and look good...The chicken was rather tender and juicy.

Steamed chicken and char siew for RM8.50/person...the char siew was really nice and juicy as they used 3 layer meat for it...

grandma's ginger chicken with rice

kailan with oyster sauce

frog porridge

Last dinner at Jalan Alor before we headed to LCCT back to Kuching

bittergourd, steamed eggs and chicken

Bought 20kg luggages for 3 persons but at the end it was all over-over weight...end up we had to carry the excessive bags our own...

Simplicious Restaurant & Bar, Sakae Sushi, Zen Q

#1 Simplicious Restaurant & Bar
A more upscale dining place located in Pisang Road...service was fast and staffs were kinda friendly...but the foods there were just okay for me.

70% doneness lamb shoulder with black pepper sauce RM28

spaghetti aglio olio RM20...average and so so only..
Bella Italia serves the best pasta in town~~

pan fried salmon RM 30
see the tiny and stingy portion of salmon..salmon not cheap~~.and personally I think the salmon was not that fresh...

#2 Sakae Sushi, The Spring
New Japanese Foods outlet in town! The menu offerings was same with those Sakae in Peninsular.

Beef Ramen...yummy..the soup was nice and beef was tender

My favourite sushi 3 in 1...Unagi, Tamago and Salmon &
Sakae Signature Dragon Roll...where the top of sushi was lined with Avocado~~but not that nice though

#3 Zen Q Desserts
Third visit!

Zen Q Shaved Ice

Create your own...this time with Matcha Ice Base~~

Convo-KL Trip Part 2

Checked in a boutique hotel...Apple Hotel @Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang area

Family room
(consists of one queen size bed and one single bed). The room was even smaller than I thought.

Small bathroom...even the water leaked out from bathroom after shower and wet the floor and our belongings =(

Apple shaped basin...but no water came out when we opened the paip =(

Kinda disappointed with the service and facilities ..only 1 plug in the room...so you can imagine one plug is used for phone charging, hair dryer, kettle for boiling water at the same time...Some more there is no cup/glass provided although I requested it from receptionist, so it's hard as imagine someone need to use glass to have the medication. So judge your own when you consider this hotel...don't expect too much facilities from them.

Jalan Alor...Happening street...every night crowded with people and cars

Next was my Convocation gifts...

#1
chocolate and postcard from USA from my direct junior, Sandra...didn't expect her to turn up actually

#1
 Sandra and I

#2
A Fanta drink and bear from junior, Cheryl.

#3
A display can from Fui Ying, my ex-roommate...I didn't expect her to turn up either. She wanted me to invite her for my wedding, but pretty sure she will have hers earlier.

#3

#4
Sunflower and bear from my lovely 4 roomie (Yan Shin, Lee Eng, Jia Ying & Hong Shi)...Miss the moments hanging out with them!

#4
424 brought us together

#4
Handmade card from them...but the rain wet the card and spoiled the artwork

#5
Roses and bear from him. Earliest gifts that I received. Somehow the first gift was costly. The roses was perfect as my accessories for my studio photo shooting while the bear was taken by Queenie.

#6
The presents...And also one banquet of flower and bear from parents...

My coursemate happened to come Kuching before our convocation so I asked her to take my regalia in UPM and brought it to Kuching so that I can take graduation photo with the whole family! Took a few surveys and ended up I chose Lumiere Pictures as the price was that high and the flexibility. Not that satisfied with the outcome of photos though but the shooting team was friendly and nice.

Someone offered me his bear...

The siblings and the Queen

Grandma, mum and dad

There were nine of us until all of us needed to stand in a line as they didn't have proper and nice chair for shooting. Queenie never let the tiny bear off from her hand =)

ZenQ Desserts Premier 101

Finally ZenQ is in the town~

Went there twice in a week =) Although the desserts standard and quality are still far away from Snowflakes, but  overall still acceptable.

#1 First visit

ZenQ Signature, added with red bean toppings RM 8.50
(consists of grass jelly shaved ice, grass jelly, Q Yuan, pearls and crystal noodles)

Taro Barley RM 5.90

Merely a bowl of barley soup added with taro. But the taro was delicious and sweet.

#2 Second visit

Create my own: Q Yuan, red bean and green bean RM 7.50

Somehow I think the ZenQ desserts portion are much smaller compared with Snowflakes.

Had Snowflakes@ Sungei Wang on my last trip to KL

Snowflakes Ocha'Ryo RM7.90
(consists of green tea shaved ice, red bean, baby pearl and black sesame balls)
5% gov tax is applicable in Snowflakes. I recalled last time there was no tax charged in Snowflakes.
