Have been occupied with these: work, convocation procedures and family affairs lately. A lot happened lately, again. I shall share some of my job searching process as somehow I think it was an interesting experiences.
Work
Interview one #1 My 1st job interview. Called me several times to schedule second interview and gave me lots of fake hope in the end. The company was located in 10th miles =(
#2 Passed the HR interview and next was the 2 day observations in the factory. Rejected it due to odd working hours: People sleep, you work. No off day at all during 3 months probation. Totally can't stand the chicken smell at all. Almost wanted to accept the offer as the head of the post was my UPM senior and he was a so passionate and ambitious guy.
#3 Did the stupidest mistake, which I went there and found out that...... =(. First Mandarin speaking interview. Rejected it as the job required me to do sales...or in other words, tele-marketing. Tertiary education was not needed at all for the post.
#4 Interviewed by UPM senior again. Negotiate with HR to skip training in Puchong. Accepted the job over tele-conversation but I still continue job searching.
#5 Second Mandarin speaking interview. Went to interview on Thursday, received call on Saturday and I had to reply whether to accept the job offer in a hour. Went to work on the coming Monday. What a swift period for me to think and prepare for the job.
#6 The initial scheduled interview was changed on the day I accepted the offer from my current company. Received call on the second day of working and I promised to go for interview. At last, I made up my mind and stick to my current job and cancel the interview.
Received two phone calls from two company (one is job #4, #6) during my second day of work (ie work #5)! And I was like don't know how to reject them in a nice and polite manner. More options always happened to come one go to you when you already found a job. Being working for 5 days till now. A tiring job. I had to work and study for the first 3 consecutive nights after back from work. Study, preparing slides and presentation!!! The workplace is 14km from where I stay and I need to depart an hour before my working time. What a long and tiring journey. Starting job for fresh graduates are always not an easy one. Finally, I am employed after a 2 months of break!
I just received my letter from UPM today, which was a week before my convocation session. My batch, or also my coursemates were all frustrated by the academic procedures and working style. Had been working for few nights for the convocation procedures! Luckily we still can make it to graduate this year and hopefully my friend can collect my regalia on behalf of me tomorrow. Hopefully my planning goes smooth =)
Family affairs
Hmmm, I don't want to mention much of this, but there's a major change in my home. It requires the effort of every single of us. Frankly, it wasn't easy and hopefully we can get through this.
Gonna have a short break soon. My current job is tiring physically and physiologically. I want more break. I miss holidays =)
