KK Trip Day 2: Labuan

Supposedly, Day 2 was planned to go to Island. But that morning it rained so we changed our plan last minute to go to Labuan.

We took the earliest 8am ferry. Economy seats. The journey took 3 hours 15 minutes to reach the Labuan jetty.

Lunch of the day. I had the lunch treats set. 1 piece of chicken, rice and 1 drink. Cecilia had colonel double stacker, french fries and 1 drink. She ordered her favorite large mashed potato.

 Her double stacker colonel burger.

Upon paying, I just discovered the KFC meals was taxless. First time having KFC without government tax. Labuan is indeed a duty free land!

We went to buy our stuffs at the Sky Mart before buying the ticket back to KK. We thought to went back with 3pm ferry to KK. But that time was 1pm and the counter people told us that the last ferry was 1pm! Oh my god. We were shocked. No other options, we were forced to overnight at Labuan. The information that I searched online about the ferry timetable was not updated at all!

Then we walked to find place to stay. I was reluctant to pay more than RM88 for 1 night so we ended up with Wilayah Inn. RM60 for 1 night. Some other better and affordable hotels were occupied. The room at Wilayah Inn was terrible. The smell, the toilet, the bed, the TV, the cleanliness, the privacy, the comfort were horrible to the maximum.

After put our stuffs at the room, we walked around to kill out time. That time was just 2pm. We continued to shop around the duty free shop and bought our following day ticket back to KK.

My stuffs. Nothing much to buy. I did not know what to buy especially for the chocolates. Since I did not know how was other brand taste, I did not want to take the risk. My shopping mood was totally spoiled because we had to overnight at Labuan. I did not buy other chocolates although my primary intentions to Labuan was to buy lots of chocolates.

Cecilia and my stuffs. She bought some expensive liquor.

Both of us mostly bought our chocolates and liquor at Sky Mart. But then we found out the cheapest can be found in Maryland Duty Free shop because the boss there was willing to give discount for liquor. We regretted not to buy all those at the Maryland.

Since we had plenty of time, we walked around and took some photos.

Labuan is a small place. No where to walk or shop. We had nothing to do. Almost all of the shop closed down at 5pm.

Went to Southern Bakery to buy bread for the next day breakfast to be eaten at the ferry.

Went to ta-pau our dinner at this place, just opposite our room.

2 nasi pattaya. RM 5.50 each. Cecilia just had half of it. I left some too.

The night was so young and we did not know what to do at all. Then, we went to the nearest shop to buy UNO and billionaire to kill our time.

The day was awful. Labuan may sound nice as a duty free land but I would not return again.

得不到的东西, 我们会一直认为他是美好的, 那是因为你对他了解太少, 没有时间与他相处在一起. 当有一天,你深入了解后,你会发现原不是你想象中的美好.
