Siniawan Night Market

Few days ago, I was brought to Siniawan Night Market. I wasn't told where I was going. Sitting in the car, wondering on the destination and feeling not so comfortable as the road was so dark and most importantly I totally had no idea where the road lead me to. Nearly reaching the destination, I was told on Kampung Siniawan and luckily we managed to reach the night market safely that only open at Friday and Saturday night.

the glittering Siniawan old street

stalls along both sides of the street with dining tables and chairs in the middle
Certain parts of the shoplots were built with wood. The street is very rich in heritage and culture.

to my disappointment, there were actually few stalls operating and the night market is actually short. However, plentiful choices of foods and drinks were available.

I was forced requested to snap on the photos.

Claypot Lamb RM20
hot and aromatic soup, cooked with rich herbs and spices such as ginger and lemongrass. way too much for 2 persons sharing!

Eaten halfway of 'Fat Lady" Three Layer Pork RM10
flavorful and nicely grilled pork!
you can also find these in Premier 101

Indeed another eye-opening night =)

Stay, or Quit?

A raining Sunday afternoon. I was hoping around Facebook, photography and Google Search to spend the time. Something strive past my mind. I found something useful yet I wasn't keen on doing any decision yet.

Is It Bad to Stay at One Company for Very Long?

Adapted:

  • If you're happy at your job there is no reason to leave because you've been there too long, just make sure you are keeping yourself and your skills marketable.
  • Times have changed and job-hopping is the new normal.
  • You can possibly make more money faster by job hopping, by opening yourself up to lots of opportunities, and that job hopping allows you to build a powerful and diverse personal network.
  • If you are unhappy at your current position, don’t necessarily listen to all the people telling you to wait it out. Make a commitment to take action. Whether that means searching for a job immediately, taking a break or simply staying positive, it is your decision to make. Own it.
  • Staying too long at a job can also hinder your employment prospects. A lengthy tenure with one company can give the impression that you aren't interested in growing your career. It can also lead employers to think that you may not have the flexibility for success in a new role.

Thus, in a nutshell, I guess the following sentences explains all for the topic of the day.

When is the best time to change jobs? The bottom line is that it's a question of balance. There isn't really such a thing as a perfect resume, because there are so many reasons for leaving a job and for staying at a job. However, do be cognizant of the fact that your decisions matter on a long term basis as well as a short term one.
得不到的东西, 我们会一直认为他是美好的, 那是因为你对他了解太少, 没有时间与他相处在一起. 当有一天,你深入了解后,你会发现原不是你想象中的美好.
