说到底还不是为钱, 为自己而不和!

庆幸那时没搬出去住, 要不然问题就多了~

Yen's Suite & Bean Cottage

#1 Yen's Suite, Brighton Square

Buffet shaved ice, milk added RM6

I can take whatever ingredients I want and the staff will assemble everything I take into a nice looking dessert. Too bad the ingredients there are not fresh during the time I went there and the choices and amount were so limited, especially the red bean as the the sour taste was strong.

 The taste were rather bland for both drinks and not recommended~

It was a hot day so I was craving for something cooling. I had....

Nyonya Ice RM3

I had been to Malacca 3 times and I tried the Baba Nyonya Cendol Ice every time I went there. Surprisingly, I liked this Bean Cottage Nyonya Ice a lot than those in Malacca. The combination of the gula Melaka, coconut milk, cendol and red bean were good! The sweetness was sufficiently fine for a bowl of dessert. And the portion of red bean and cendol was so handsome, making me very full for one whole bowl.

The cendol was said to contain no artificial colouring and it was unusually long.

What I dislike of the place is they use polystyrene and plastic bowls for serving food and drink. Way too not environmentally friendly~

Berrylite & Ding Tea, Boulevard, Kuching

#1 Berrylite, American Premium 100%  Fat-Free Frozen Yogurt

I love it (11oz) with 3 toppings RM16.50

The flavors of the day were Original, Strawberry and Mix. I chose Mix with 3 toppings - almond flakes, green tea mochi and orange. The mochi didn't go well with the froyo and too bad the oranges was bitter and sour~ 

Pretty sure many people will compare Berrylite with Hielo. Indeed for me I did think both have their own positive 'personalities'. Hielo's froyo is sourer and Berrylite's froyo is generally sweeter. The new wing of Boulevard is really cold where I get even chiller while having the froyo. 

I claimed my privilege card and vouchers as I'm in the first 300 fans to like their page in Facebook~The card entitles me to get 20% for purchase of 5, 8, 11oz froyo in the month of June.

#2 Ding Tea, franchise of Taiwan's tea beverages

Grass Jelly Milk Tea & Hokkaido Milk Tea

RM5.90 each (regular)

Ever wonder what is actually Hokkaido Milk Tea? After doing some research, I found out Hokkaido Milk Tea is actually a blend of Assam Black Tea and toffee caramel flavor. But what is Assam Black Tea? Assam is a black tea named after the region of its production, Assam, in India. No wonder the Hokkaido Milk Tea contains a  very distinctive taste, which I never know it is the caramel flavor.

I opted 30% sugar and less ice for the grass jelly milk tea and to my astonishment, it was really not that sweet. Perhaps 50% sugar option goes better with the milk tea. The sugar and ice level of customization are pretty obvious for Ding Tea. Generally speaking, the drinks in Ding Tea are milder as compared with those at East Drink, Easy Go.

Away We Happened

Just spotted a sweet and funny web series via a post by a friend in Facebook! There have been 4 series until now and the episode 5 will be released on 19 June. The series involve the viewer to decide how and where the stories goes. 

Just search "Away We Happened" in Internet and you can view the all five series including the trailer in youtube. It's a short series, all within 10 minutes. In fact, it was sweet in episode 4 that Daniel really can make Jean laugh with the panda! Spare some time to load the video and give yourself a break to laugh!

Easy Drink, Easy Go, The Spring Mall

Easy Drink, Easy Go opens second outlet in Kuching at The Spring Mall. I need not travel to Kuching Central which was rather far from my house just to have little sip of it. Perhaps it happened to be public holiday on that day, the queue at The Spring was rather long.

Both drinks I requested for 30% sugar and less ice but I saw no different of mine with those 100% as it was very sweet and the ice was generous. Perhaps the staffs were so occupied with the good business and  they hardly had the time to customize the drinks. The milk pudding was great and awesome! The creamy snow cap winter melon tea was rather salty and creamy with the whipped cream. There was crushed peanuts on top of the cream.  It was good and unique as I could sip the cream on top and sucked the refreshing winter melon tea in the bottom. I love both of them but too bad they were too sweet and the ice did not helped in reducing the sweetness. 

On Friday, my sister went to The Spring and I requested her to ta-pau Easy Drink, East Go for me. I wanted to try the Brown Sugar Milk Tea but she placed a wrong order and bought Brown Sugar Chocolate Milk Tea instead.

Okay both drinks were not as satisfying as those I had previously. I'm going to stop having those fattening drinks for the next few weeks. It's just too unhealthy!

The supervisor of 3 retail stores of my company at Kuching International Airport (KIA) took 5 days leave for vacation. Believe it or not, she never took any leaves and there was no salary increment at all for the past 12 years Loyal, responsible and hardworking employee, isn't she? My boss is really lucky to have those loyal staffs, despite I think he is not a good boss after all. Me and another staff are supposed to take turn to supervise the stores, but due to some circumstances, I am able to skip it and only work on Sunday afternoon shift.

Since I'm not a permanent one, there's nothing much I can do. I just walked around the departure hall, read books and browsed catalogue to kill the time. The staffs there already get use of their daily routines.  

Went to KKK Bakery Class but ended up I don't really like the food products and they mainly use pre-mix to make those. My last class attended there was like 7-8 years back. I recalled I was there to learn on making mooncakes. I wish to attend more class sessions but  I have to work on most Saturdays.

Bought Sio Pau at Chong Choon 长春饼店.

Mom loves Sio Pau very much. I would buy Sio Pau for her whenever I saw it outside but my mom said the one at Chong Choon is the best of the best.

Redeemed and received the KFC RM10 voucher upon collecting enough points after participation of online surveys. I wish I choose McD voucher instead as I want to try the latest menu, chicken foldover.

Cats Pyjamas's Beef Egg Burger at Kafe Lam

Many said the burger is so good but I think the taste is just an average one and it is overrated

On the journey to Kota Padawan in Monday morning and I saw this small flood (probably due to leakage of pipe). The construction has really brought a lot of trouble to Kuchingites and at the same time I doubt the highway could solve the traffic jam there.

**My fourth month internship attachment has exposed to me how someone operate a family business. Indeed, to be able to stay longer at here, religion matters. Religion really matters. Whatever it is, I'm glad that my attachment is heading to an end, just like it's the right time to leave the place after you get to know all the ugly part of that company. Today will be last day of May, and 4 days of holidays are awaiting the Kuchingites. It will be my last holidays before I end my internship. Stay strong!
