One Pan Pasta

Inspired from KampungBoyCityGal recipe and Martha Stewart recipe, I made a few attempts on One Pan Pasta~ I even bought the basil plant from market and intended to plant my own!

Although the basil plant seems to exhibit some abnormal growth by growing darken and burnt kind of leaves, some part of the plant managed to grow lusher! Hope it can grow more so that I can made fresh pesto sauce for my pasta!

My One Pan Angel Hair Pasta!
Love angel hair so much because it takes around 2-3 minutes to cook only (count when it starts to boil)~~

Simple ingredients for my one pan bowties (one pax):

San Remo Bowties, Cherry Tomatoes cut into halves, Chicken Breast (sliced), Holland Onion & Minced Garlic

I also added in water (or chicken stock to make it more flavorful), one tablespoon of tomato paste/tomato puree (to make it turns red and makes it tastier), grapeseed oil (or any other good oil like olive oil), salt, white sugar (I added in personally as I think the pasta is a bit bland), chilli powder, ground black pepper and freshly plucked basil leaves from pot. Bring everything to boil (mine took around 15 minutes) until the pasta is al-dente!

Final garnishing: Parmesan Cheese & Dried Basil Leaves!
Here's my easiest and quickest lunch boxideas for work!

Any more simple and easy lunch box ideas to share?

Homemade Loaf with Petrus PE6280

Sis bought Petrus PE6280 Multi-functional fruits and nuts dispenser programmable bread maker around RM200 couple of months ago online! After that, I developed strong interest of making our own loaf!

The bread maker comes with a fruits/nuts dispenser, a measuring spoon, a measuring cup & a bread bin

1. Just measure all bread ingredients according to the bread maker user manual, select bread size (500gm/750gm), degree of  burning color (light, medium, dark) and type of bread to make (such as European/British/French Bread etc).
2. Eggs, butter, sugar, salt, milk, water, high protein flour, yeast, milk powder and those basic bread making ingredients.
3. Play around the flavor with anything you love and have in the pantry/kitchen.
4. However, you will need to wait for 3-4 hours for the bread to be done, and another 30 minutes to 1 hour for the bread to cool down, making a total of 4 to 5 hours before you can actually eat it! Patience, passion and waiting time is required~~

Pumpkin Black Sesame Loaf
One of my nieces favourite~

I even made pandan essence from scratch. Blend lots of freshly plucked pandan leaves with milk and strained the pandan juice out! Lots of job though...

Turned out to be someone purposely and nastily tear off the pandan bread without my acknowledgement LOL (our evil queen of the house aka my 4 years old niece due to she couldn't resist to have a bit of it)
Pandan Pumpkin Seed Black Sesame Loaf (spot the imperfect torn loaf?)

Should have put more pumpkin seeds cause it was so yummy and crunchy! The pandan fragrant was pretty strong but hardly can taste it once you munch it!

Almond Milo Oats Loaf
 My two nieces loves this!

White Loaf

Purple Sweet Potato Black Sesame Loaf

Green Tea Black Sesame Loaf

I also bought bread slicer and bread knife to make bread slicing easier and conveniently!

Placed the bread into the slicer and cut the knife along the grooves. The disadvantage of the slicer is it doesn't have other thicknesses whereby you can't customized your thickness of the bread you cut! If you adjust it manually, the slice will not be equal and nice.

Green tea black sesame after cut...So tempting~~

Any more ideas for the loaf huh? Perhaps sweet corn, cheese and ....?

Barnana Wine & Dine & Secret Recipe Cake

Barnana Wine & Dine is easily spotted along the Padungan Road.

Comfortable dining environment with dim lighting, music and plenty of picture as decorations

A pot of Apple Tea (RM6.90) to share

Barnana Signature Bacon Rolls 8 pcs at RM14
Enoki/Needle Mushroom wrapped in Bacon Slices
the Enoki mushroom was super chewy but definitely not worth the price!

Lamb Bolognese RM19.90
the spaghetti portion was generous! Full of spices, tomato sauce and ground lamb. Great for sharing as it will be too swelling for stomach for one to eat alone.

Grilled Chicken Chop RM20.50
two pieces of grilled  and succulent chicken thigh, topped with black pepper sauce and served with french fries and coleslaw (A very common of chicken chop!)

My dinner partner of that night

Total damage of the dinner inclusive of 5% service charge

After the dinner, we had cakes for dessert!

Secret Recipe Green Tea Cheese RM8.80/slice
first time having SR Green Tea Cheese! Always love the perfect pairing of green tea and cheese! The crushed biscuits base did a great job too!

Secret Recipe Chocolate Indulgence RM8.80/slice
nothing would go wrong with Chocolate Indulgence! Chocolate sponge cake with layers of chocolate and white chocolate cream filling.

another close up angle for the cake

Overall dining experience at Barnana was rather satisfactory and pleasant one. Staffs were attentive enough considerably 5% service charge was applicable. Food acceptance were ordinary and nothing much to shout about.

MK Classico Caffe

One of popular spot in town, MK Classico Caffe, located at Jalan Tabuan. Limited parking space available nearby so you can easily see customers' cars parking along the street!

Order and pay your foods and drinks at the counter and they will send it according to the table number given to you.

Iced Macchiato RM10 with table number 6 of the night

Discover their own very classical and vintage decorations of the Cafe!

Almost full house although it is a usual weekday!

Failed flatlay =(
Swedish meatballs served with baked potato, blueberry sauce and Baby Butterhead RM15
10 balls of minced beef meatballs served in rich and creamy herbs and spices gravy. The blueberry sauce does a perfect accompaniment with the meatballs! The baked potatoes tasted great too with lightly seasoned herbs!

Swedish MeatBall is one of the best selling item in the Cafe!

Happy Anniversary!

The picture was shared on the MK Facebook page~
Spot me with the table number 6? Haha!

Returned to MK Classico Caffe again to hunt for sinful green tea cheese cake & Swedish Meat Ball

To our disappointment, both our target foods was not available/sold out at that particular night. We ended up with Buffalo Chicken Pizza.

Buffalo Chicken Pizza RM19
thin crust pizza topped with humble portion of chicken, pineapple & cheese
frankly the pizza was a bit too overpriced considering the amount of topping used and the size of the whole pizza. Should have ordered other thing else and definitely not this!

Siblings night!
A pot of hot chamomile tea (RM12) to share while waiting for our pizza to serve =)
Same seats and same pose with my first visit as other hot seats were fully occupied as usual even it was a normal weekday =(

KL Style Hokkien Mee RM8++
Thick, dark mee cooked with braised/caramelized sweet sauce and fried lard pieces found in one coffee shop night time at One TJ nearby area.
First time having KL Style Hokkien Mee. The signature great taste and aroma of the mee come from the fried lard. Must share it with others as it is too greasy to eat whole dish alone.

Visited Onn Cake House Melaka Favourite @ RH Plaza
They claimed their dishes are without MSG. Thumbs up!

Malacca Chicken Rice Ball RM8
love the rice ball here than the one in Malacca...the rice portion was satisfactory for me but certainly not enough at all for guys!

anticipated to try out this dessert as I missed the one at Malacca. Too bad the taste was kind of differ from the one I like.

A meal for two
Ayam Pongteh (RM8), Malacca Chicken Rice Ball, Plain Rice & Red Bean Cendol
the chicken portion for Ayam Pongteh was rather generous but only dry chicken breast are served!
