Tune Hotel at KLIA2 & Metro Hotel at KL Sentral

A night stay at Tune Hotel @ KLIA2 for a next day morning flight to Macao

room rates are lower at their own website than other website
The queen room was air-conditioned with basic amenities kit provided such as hair dryer, bottled water, toiletries etc. Room was rather clean. The hotel was few minutes walk from the KLIA2 airport and along the way it was all sheltered.

***RM5 per luggage for storing services at Tune Hotel's receptionist

Overnight at Metro Hotel at KL Sentral before catching the following day flight back to Kuching. The hotel was situated opposite KL Sentral station along the shoplot and there were plenty of South Asians and Indians along the street.

RM104 Twin Room per night (through Agoda)
(with breakfast for 2 pax)

The room was large but dusty especially at the floor and the table

I was given breakfast voucher upon checking in as I booked the room with breakfast. I need to add in RM9 for breakfast during my room booking with Agoda.

Breakfast venue at rooftop

I had Continental Set which basically consist of 2 toast, 1 bun and 1 croissant with scrambled eggs

Another choice of the breakfast - Char Kuey Tiao

Tea with creamer and sugar was free flow. No coffee was served and I was told to pay when I requested for coffee. Frankly the breakfast choice in Metro Hotel is awful and too little and my advise is don't bother to add in breakfast option when booking your room unless it is the same price with or without the breakfast.

Tea Time

Craving for some light snacks, drinks or even desserts between meals? Opt for few choices below =)

#1 Bear Paw, Pavillion

Interesting bear paw, isn't it?

Whole Wheat Bun with Chicken Ham, seasoned with Thousand Island Dressing  RM10.50

nicely made bear paw shaped bun. Kinda healthy for a light bite

#2 Snowflakes, Pavillion

UFO Beep to inform your order is ready

Sesame Supreme RM8.90
Sesame ice base with taro balls, sesame balls, sweet potato balls, matcha balls, red bean, cream and topped with matcha sorbet
the sesame ice base tasted so fresh and fragrant. I aim for this to satisfy my crave for taro balls and red bean.

#3 Kurtos Spiroll, Pavillion

Kurtos Spiroll for display purposes
We were attracted with the spiroll as this is the first time we saw it. Upon listening to the explanation of the worker there, we bought one to try. He urged us to try Nutella Walnut.

Kurtos Spiroll

Nutella Walnut RM6.90
somehow a type of pastry, the spiroll tasted just like a soft bread coated with chocolate and walnut generously. We love it. There are a few ways of eating the spiroll. We just teared the spiroll spirally!

#4 Latte Mei, Berjaya Times Square

Potted Plant Milk Tea RM5.90
lovely milk tea topped with cream, oreo crumbs and garnished with peppermint leaves!

# 5 Chatime, Sungei Wang

Hot Hazelnut Milk Tea RM5.90
a sip of unhealthy milk tea again simply because we had to find a place to sit to let our tired legs to rest

# 6 Subway, Kenanga Wholesale City

6 inch Subway Seafood & Crab
all time favourite of satisfying and wholesome Sub =)

Imbi Market, Pasar Baru Bukit Bintang

Imbi Market is one of the best breakfast/brunch spot in the town. It takes around 20 minutes walk from Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang to Jalan Melati, Imbi Market. Although the environment and surrounding seems pretty grubby, but the place offers many good foods and crowded with people.

Seated in front of the famous drink stall

Coffee & Teh C, priced at RM2 each
We wanted to try the signature Hainanese Drink but we didn't know what's the name, ended up we had coffee and milk tea instead =(

Sisters Crispy Popiah around RM2.20, Kaya & Butter Toast RM2 & Vermicelli with Ginger & Wine Soup RM8
Super love the ginger & wine vermicelli soup. The wine soup tastes so heavenly good and alike with mum homecook style, with generous portion of  fried ginger, fried eggs and pork meat. Why Kuching doesn't sell ginger and wine vermicelli soup?

This Kaya & Butter Toast is so yummy. Best toast so far I guess! Can I have some now?

Grabbed some pastries from the infamous Bunn Choon Stalls

Sesame Charcoal Tart RM1.80, Almond Tart & Century Egg Pie

Our favourite Century Egg inside the pastry! The sesame charcoal tart is good too.

We went there once again for second visit on the last day of the trip.

This time we manage to try Ah Weng Kor Famous Hainanese Tea. A special mix of coffee and tea. Very kao! Just a little too sweet for my taste buds. We also tried Chee Cheong Fun. You can pick and choose any piece of yong tau hu you like and I have it mine customized at RM6.80. Tried the round bun with kaya and butter but still the toast is still my top favourite after all!

Queue up to grab some pastries to bring back.

The top picks of the stalls
Luckily managed to grab one box of 6 after long queue and few complications! Sweat!

Less demanding pastries!

Certainly a great place for a lovely breakfast!
