Imbi Market is one of the best breakfast/brunch spot in the town. It takes around 20 minutes walk from Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang to Jalan Melati, Imbi Market. Although the environment and surrounding seems pretty grubby, but the place offers many good foods and crowded with people.
Seated in front of the famous drink stall
Coffee & Teh C, priced at RM2 each
We wanted to try the signature Hainanese Drink but we didn't know what's the name, ended up we had coffee and milk tea instead =(
Sisters Crispy Popiah around RM2.20, Kaya & Butter Toast RM2 & Vermicelli with Ginger & Wine Soup RM8
Super love the ginger & wine vermicelli soup. The wine soup tastes so heavenly good and alike with mum homecook style, with generous portion of fried ginger, fried eggs and pork meat. Why Kuching doesn't sell ginger and wine vermicelli soup?
This Kaya & Butter Toast is so yummy. Best toast so far I guess! Can I have some now?
Grabbed some pastries from the infamous Bunn Choon Stalls
Sesame Charcoal Tart RM1.80, Almond Tart & Century Egg Pie
Our favourite Century Egg inside the pastry! The sesame charcoal tart is good too.
We went there once again for second visit on the last day of the trip.
This time we manage to try Ah Weng Kor Famous Hainanese Tea. A special mix of coffee and tea. Very kao! Just a little too sweet for my taste buds. We also tried Chee Cheong Fun. You can pick and choose any piece of yong tau hu you like and I have it mine customized at RM6.80. Tried the round bun with kaya and butter but still the toast is still my top favourite after all!
Queue up to grab some pastries to bring back.
The top picks of the stalls
Luckily managed to grab one box of 6 after long queue and few complications! Sweat!
Less demanding pastries!
Certainly a great place for a lovely breakfast!
