I'm a big fans of red bean. So I must try this. The red bean is sweet enough. I like it!

Coconut milk adds flavor and fragrance to the red bean. I hate coconut milk, but still I'm kinda like the red bean ice.

 Cendol ice. Not bad too.

 The famous Lum Mee! Nice. But I don't really fancy yellow noodles. Maybe if there is second visit, I should substitute the yellow mee with vermicelli.

The seat turnover is high! We have to wait others to leave for our seats.

Old Town-Great day-Beryl's

Went to TGV Cheras Selatan for Great Day screening. RM 9 per ticket for early bird(before12noon screening movies). RM 13 per ticket for the normal ticket price! The Great Day screening was full for the whole day. Left few seats for 11.30am and 1.30pm. Luckily still got few front seats for us.

Before screening, went to Old Town Jusco Balakong for Brunch

 Order my favorite Ice Fire Polo Bun RM3.50

 The bun has disappointed me. Ipoh Town serves better Polo Bun. 

After the movie, come next Beryl's Chocolate Sale. Beryl's factory is located near to UPM.

Although it is Beryl's Chocolate Sale, the prices is actually similar with any other days in the supermarket. Just there are more variety of chocolates and have different packaging.

I choose Pan Mee with thinner cut. Nothing special huh? There are 3 huge dumplings in a bowl. I guess they put too much MSG in the soup. I drink lots of water after the meal.

The braised pork in the soup is awesome too!

The cafe is crowded with office people during the lunch hour. The turnover is high during the peak hours. Service is well performed by their workers~foreigners too.

Recalling the previous years, the people around me has switched so dramatically

from being small boy/girl
-becoming a mother, get through the pain of delivering baby
-becoming a real own boss, not need to be supervised and scolded by boss
-becoming a tourist, flying all around the world, being through the place that I never even heard before
-becoming a steward, quitting the job and fuse into Malaysian Hospitality
-inheriting the family business and having flexible working time
-graduating, waiting for posting as a nurse
-graduating, being a future engineer
-quitting the job and becoming a full time housewife taking care of 2 children
-stepping into marriage
-working hard for life

and me, still as a student, 1 year more uni life and 6 months of internship.

The truth is, I will go back to my uni tomorrow.

Congratulations to my friend, Hieng Chung for being a boss of a Taiwanese concept cafe located at Jalan Song. The cafe is located near to One Jaya.

先订位...Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room

Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room just landed to The Spring, Kuching last month. As usual, during peak hours, you could see crowds queuing outside the restaurant. So make sure you  先订位 before you walked in the restaurant. Okay I'm just kidding. I think there will be no more long crowds after a month or two since my visit there was not good enough.

 hot mixed fruit tea RM 5.90. Cecilia said the food price is cheaper in Kuching and the fruit tea in Kuching tasted different with KL one. Of course she said KL one better.

 pan fried fish set with braised pork rice & soup of the day RM 16.90

the pan fried fish was a total disaster. Dry & only mild spice taste. The braised pork rice was salty. It was not like salty that complement best with rice but the salty that one would not like.

the soup & the side dishes was okay and turned out to be better than the main dishes. I wish the side dishes portion would be bigger. hmmmm....

6 more days to go and the year 2010 will be officially a past one
Flying back to KL and UPM, my life as a student will begin once again,
This time a bit different,
my final year project or what so called thesis is going to make my life a crazy one.

No, before that, CNY is so soon too...
I'm looking forward for the shopping spree

1 year after that, my 6 months internship will definitely drop by.
That will officially end my study life which I hate the most, at the same time love to the utmost

After all, being a creditor sounds not too bad.
At least it is shielded from the hustle and bustle of working life
and the shot of bullet


** I just get to know Frienz n Family is no longer in operation. What a news. It is hard for a cafe/restaurant entrepreneur to survive long in Kuching. I guess competitors are in bulk and undercapitalized are among of the reasons!

***Jfook, I don't know will you read this, but I do remember your unpleasant post & feedback about this past cafe, and now it is close.  The place is replaced by Meal Art Cafe, a Taiwanese concept cafe.

That is what currently I'm doing for the month. Frankly,

Nothing.

This semester break is a relaxing one.

No part time, no job. Not much yam cha session, merely a few gathering.

The peak one was my brother wedding- Chinese ceremony and dinner.

And the insecure life starts to sneak into my family. Lost, theft. 

 Hope everything will turn smooth in the next second and so on.
